June is lavender season! You will see beautiful fields in Sénanque Abbey, it is one of the most photograph place in France, and visit the most beautiful region of Sault known for the biggest lavender fields. Of course, we will make time to explore vineyards and have a wine tasting. We will also explore  the most beautiful villages of Provence as Gordes and Roussillon.

• An excursion to Cassis. An adorable French town on the fringes of the Mediterranean sea. With its turquoise waters, candy-colored buildings and buckets of charm, you will be inspired for painting ocean and sailboats as a project for the following day. 

• A day trip exploring the historic medieval city of Avignon. The city’s two most famous landmarks are the preserved Palais des Papes and the remains of the gracefully arched Avignon bridge. Walk on the cobbled streets to the Place de l'Horloge, you can see the town hall topped with its clock tower, and the theatre.

L’Oustau des Oliviers

In the heart of Provence and at the foot of the Luberon massif, between the pines and the olive trees. A place of excellence in nature that will charm lovers of calm and comfort under the sun of the South. Recently renovated in the purest Provencal style, its courtyard, its olive grove and an exceptional view of the Durance Valley from it's pool will charm all our guests, in search of well-being and serenity.

This workshop is for beginners with some knowledge in color mixing, and for more advance artists where you will learn to embrace your intuition, find your voice, and choose a cohesive color palette that makes your paintings magical. Monique will do her demos in acrylic, but you also can use oil for this workshop. Either way, this workshop will help you and your art to advance to the next level, in a judgement-free, joy-filled zone.

I loved your class, Monique!  I learned that painting isn’t all about brushes and palette knives, that it’s OK to use you fingers, paper towels, sponges, even a tooth brush!  I struggled with painting water.  I was trying to create the water effect by using squiggly horizontal lines. When you showed us how to drag the reflection down with vertical strokes, it made all the difference in the world.
