Choosing a good palette combination
Before I start painting, I’m thinking way ahead about my color choice. I use some paint color samples to help me make a good decision.
I prefer to paint with a limited palette, specially with oil and cold wax. I usually use cool and warm colors, and a couple neutrals, one cool and one warm. I also premix several values, light, medium and dark. .
The magic happens when the paint is applied on the surface.
Many layers of oil and cold wax are applied in order to play with texture.
Then, it's the process of editing and knowing when it's done.
